In 1975, a group of English university tutors, teachers, and managers from Oxford and London, formed an independent English language teaching research organisation: The English Language Foundation.

The English Language Foundation evolved into the Centre for Advanced Studies, an English teaching centre accredited by Oxford University Delegacy of Local Examinations in 1976. This later expanded into the Euroversity Operations Centre-The EOC, which is guided by a Charter of Declarations and an international Advisory Council.

In 2000 the centre evolved into a fully on-line operation with programmes installed in client organisations and UK courses based in Oxford University facilities.

The English Language Development Programme provides the Euroversity Seminars, which combine work experience with academic disciplines.

English Language courses are provided for commerce, business, education, management, communication, science, technology, and other professional areas. The Programme Design Team at the Euroversity Operations Centre generates the course material in partnership with specialist educational providers.

As commissioners of University Language Teaching Centres, and in close association with University Departments of Continuing Education, the EOC and the ELDP can prepare students for:

The ELDP is associated with European and International University Project Groups. The EOC is not a language school, a college, or a university. It's an independent educational facility: a consultancy which, through the ELDP, provides professional development training for companies, organisations, universities, groups, and individuals.
